Great Scale Model Train Show 2027
The Great Scale Model Train Show is a long-running Mid-Atlantic hobby event produced by Makin Tracks, LLC. Shows are held three times each year in February, April, and October at the Maryland State Fairgrounds (2200 York Road, Timonium, MD 21093).
Visitors can explore extensive scale and hi-rail model railroad layouts, scenery, and operating dioramas. The marketplace brings hundreds of vendor tables offering locomotives, rolling stock, structures, scenery materials, books, brass models, and railroad memorabilia across scales from Z through G.
Organizers highlight free parking, prize drawings, clinics, and family-friendly admission pricing. Advance tickets and show details are published on the official Google Sites hub, which links to vendor directories, floor plans, and reminder sign-ups. Saturday hours are typically 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The homepage currently lists the next edition on January 31 and February 1 (winter show).
