Advanced Manufacturing Barcelona

Advanced Manufacturing Barcelona is the leading industrial trade fair in Catalonia, organised by Easyfairs and held every two years at Fira Barcelona - Gran Via, Pavilion 1 (Av. Joan Carles I, 64, 08908 L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain). The event encompasses the former MetalBarcelona and Robomatica Barcelona shows; the legacy domain metalbarcelona.com now redirects to the official site advancedmanufacturingbarcelona.com.

The third edition of Advanced Manufacturing Barcelona takes place on 28 and 29 September 2027. Opening hours are 09:30-18:00 on both days. Attendance is restricted to professionals over 16 years old, and visitor registration is free.

Exhibition areas

The show floor is divided into four main areas covering the entire production chain:

Metal & Machine Tools - metal manufacturing, machining and processing: welding, chip-removal and forming machine tools, tooling, cutting and abrasive tools, dies and molds, components, oxy-fuel cutting, waste removal and recycling, R&D and technology centres.
Automation & Digitalisation - industrial robotics and cobotics, control systems, PLCs, industrial software, digital twins, artificial intelligence, intelligent storage, AGVs and autonomous vehicles for the factory of the future.
Surface Treatment - industrial cleaning and preparation, painting, metallic coatings, anodising, electrodeposition, galvanising, anti-corrosion treatments and technical finishes.
Additive Manufacturing - industrial 3D printing and additive technologies for design, prototyping and production of components.

Programme

Alongside the exhibition, the event offers the Tech Congress 4.0 conference programme (free for professionals), Innovation Tours, Live Demo Machinery showcases and the Advanced Manufacturing Awards, which recognise innovation across the production chain.

Scale and history

The fair expects more than 200 exhibitors and around 4,000 manufacturing professionals, generating over 13,000 commercial interactions. The first edition was held on 13-14 September 2023 in Pavilion 1 of Fira Barcelona Gran Via, merging the MetalBarcelona and Robomatica Barcelona shows under the Advanced Manufacturing brand. The second edition followed in autumn 2025 at the same venue with more than 200 exhibitors and 4,000 industry professionals. Advanced Manufacturing Barcelona is part of the European Advanced Engineering series organised by Easyfairs, a Brussels-based multinational running more than 200 events worldwide. The next edition after 2027 is expected in 2029, as the show runs every two years.
