Maleny Wood Expo 2026
The Maleny Wood Expo returns in October 2026 under new management by the Rotary Club of Maleny, featuring fresh ideas and innovations in timber and woodcraft. The Sunshine Coast Wootha Prize will no longer be part of the Expo. However, Barung Landcare will continue to host the Wootha Prize competition from 1 – 4 May 2026 at Montvale, Montville, alongside the Montville Timber Trail event. The competition offers a $10,000 first prize and is open to entries from the public and industry participants. The Expo will showcase timber displays, woodworking demonstrations, vendor stalls, and community engagement activities, while the May Wootha Prize event focuses on timber craftsmanship and sustainability.
