The Bush Christmas Exhibition is an annual showcase of handcrafted treasures and gourmet delights created by rural and regional Australian artisans, held in the lead-up to Christmas at the Masonic Centre in Toowoomba, Queensland.
Dates: Wednesday 18 November – Friday 27 November 2026 (a 10-day event) Opening hours: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm daily during the exhibition Venue: Masonic Centre, 58 Neil Street, Toowoomba QLD 4350, Australia Admission: Free entry for everyone
More than 100 exhibitors present distinctive, high-quality gifts and artisan produce — striking outdoor art, finely crafted homewares, one-of-a-kind jewellery, children's clothing, hand-stitched toys, original artworks, books, and treats for the pantry and table. Exhibits are grouped into Adorn & Delight, Art Images & Imagination, Heart & Home, For the Little Ones, Garden Whimsy & Wonder and The Artisan Larder.
Bush Christmas began in 1996 to give talented rural makers a larger platform, and has supported bush and regional artisans for three decades. Founder Liz McClymont led the event for 25 years; Wendy Allen, who joined in 2015 on marketing and logistics, took over as organiser in 2022. Each year the exhibition supports the Isolated Children's Parents' Association, raising more than A$152,300 for the education of children in the bush over the past ten years. Sponsors include Bentley's Brisbane (freight for regional exhibitors) and Fence Hire Australia (security fencing).
