Electronics in Harsh Environments Conference and Exhibition 2027
The Electronics in Harsh Environments Conference and Exposition, organized by SMTA (Surface Mount Technology Association), returns to Amsterdam, Netherlands for its 2027 edition, held 18-20 May 2027 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station (Oosterdoksstraat 4, 1011 DK Amsterdam). The three-day technical conference addresses the design, assembly, packaging and reliability of electronic systems operating under harsh thermal, mechanical, chemical and electrical conditions. Core topics include high-density integration, power and signal integrity, package and solder-joint failure, cleaning and conformal coating, process control, materials, test and production monitoring for high-reliability hardware. The programme spans automotive, rail and traction, oil and gas, aerospace and battery and electric-vehicle applications, alongside sustainability and green-transition themes for the electronics industry. Abstracts are due 28 February 2027. Now in its 10th year, the conference brings together OEM design and quality engineers, EMS and materials companies, and academia to share best practices for building reliable electronics that perform to design standards in extreme environments.
