TRENZ
TRENZ (Tourism Rendezvous New Zealand) is New Zealand's largest international tourism business event and the most important date on the country's tourism trade calendar. It brings hundreds of international travel buyers together with New Zealand's leading tourism operators over three days to build or renew relationships and negotiate business for upcoming seasons.
2027 edition
TRENZ 2027 is confirmed for 11-13 May 2027 in Otautahi Christchurch, hosted at the Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre. Seller registrations opened on 1 October 2026; buyer registrations open on 12 November 2026. ChristchurchNZ is the host region partner for the 2027 edition, which builds on the city's previous hosting in 2023.
Event format
The programme is built around scheduled business appointments: up to 52 fifteen-minute meetings between buyers and sellers, plus multiple networking functions, host-city familiarisations for buyers and pre- and post-TRENZ buyer famil opportunities across New Zealand regions.
Recent editions
TRENZ returned in person in Otautahi Christchurch in 2023, moved to Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington in 2024, returned to Rotorua in 2025, and was held in Tamaki Makaurau Auckland at the New Zealand International Convention Centre on 19-21 May 2026. The 2027 edition continues the rotation in Christchurch.
