Last Night on the Town - Virginia Beach's Premier New Year's Eve Event 2026
Last Night on the Town is the annual New Year's Eve celebration at Town Center of Virginia Beach, produced by the Central Business District Association (CBDA) and IMGoing. The official event site calls the current edition New Year's Eve 2026 and its 13th year. The organizer's 2026 event page gives the day-level dates.
Dates and place, from the CBDA listing https://www.cbda.net/events/last-night-on-the-town-2026/: December 31, 2026 to January 1, 2027, at Town Center of Virginia Beach. The page's date block lists 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The announcement on the same page says the free, family-friendly event is Thursday, December 31, with festivities beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET, and that family entertainment starts at 6:00 p.m. ET on December 31, 2026. Those two start times are both on the organizer page; this listing uses the published calendar dates and does not choose between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Headliner, from that same CBDA announcement and from https://www.lastnightonthetown.com: Grammy winner Big Boi, with special guest Rocky 7. The main event at Town Center Fountain Plaza is free and open to the public. 13 News Now is named as providing live coverage and emceeing. The announcement also lists a DJ, an LED dance floor, and a children's dance contest for ages 12 and under.
VIP, from the event site and the CBDA page: a 21-and-over party at $175 per person, rain or shine, non-refundable. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. ET (the CBDA page says 12:00 p.m. ET; the event site says 12:00 p.m. EST). Sale link published on the event site: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/last-night-on-the-town-nye-vip-party-cbda-tickets-2002717369564. Eventbrite lists the VIP party on Thursday, December 31, 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., at Town Center of Virginia Beach, 4505 Commerce Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. December 31, 2026 is a Thursday, which matches that listing.
The event homepage still has older schedule and FAQ text (including other headliners and a "VIP Sale Live December 1st" button) that does not match the October 2026 Big Boi announcement. Those leftover lines are not used as the edition dates.
Organizer: Central Business District Association, 1 Columbus Center #611, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Event contact on lastnightonthetown.com: 757-490-7812 and [email protected]. CBDA office phone on the 2026 event page: 757-490-7810.
The stored September 19, 2025 date was not a New Year's Eve date and is replaced by the organizer's next edition.
