Bidfood Expo 2026 — 16th edition

Bidfood Expo is the flagship gastronomy trade fair of Bidfood Czech Republic s.r.o. (Bidcorp group), aimed at professionals from the gastronomy (HORECA) and retail sectors. It is the largest culinary event in Czechia, combining an exhibition of food products and technologies with live cooking, competitions and professional conferences.

What to expect

The show occupies almost 10,000 m² of exhibition space and presents new products, modern technologies and current trends in gastronomy, plus practical tools for running a more efficient foodservice business. Visitors meet Bidfood's own specialists alongside Czech and international manufacturers and suppliers, with tastings, live cooking on stage and dedicated networking space.

Programme highlights

Live cooking shows and prestigious culinary competitions organised with the Czech Chefs and Confectioners Association (Asociace kuchařů a cukrářů ČR): Kuchař roku 2026/2027 (Chef of the Year), Gastro junior Bidfood Cup and Školní jídelna roku 2026 (School Canteen of the Year).
Czech Butcher Wars 2026 — new competition for this edition.
Training sessions of the Czech junior and senior national culinary teams, preparing for the World Cup in Luxembourg.
Regional collective-catering conferences held in Prague on 14 and 15 October 2026 within the expo (hygiene audits in practice, regional hygiene-station inspections, Czech School Inspectorate findings in school canteens, fish/legumes/wholegrain in menus, culinary demonstrations with tasting).
Appearances by chefs including Jan Punčochář, Jan Knedla (two Michelin stars), Viki Geunes (three Michelin stars, ZILTE Antwerp), Besky (MasterChef Česko 2021), David Kalina, Marek Hora, Filip Sajler, Federico Perrone, Jay B. McCarthy, Miroslav Kubec, Tomáš Popp, Ondřej Koráb, Baoyong Zheng, Jan Stuchlý, Zdeněk Křížek, Vojtěch Vrtiška and Richard Tomáš.

Series history

The previous edition, Bidfood Expo 2024, was the 15th edition (13–15 October 2026 is therefore the 16th). Bidfood runs comparable gastronomy events in its other markets (Bidfood Slovakia, Bidfood Hungary, Bidfood Netherlands/Deutschland).
