Boardwalk Art Show 2026
The 70th Virginia MOCA Boardwalk Art Show, held October 9–11, 2026 on the Virginia Beach boardwalk, showcases over 150 exhibitors presenting fine art, contemporary craft, sculpture, glass, and mixed‑media works. A featured artist creates the official show artwork each year; for 2025 it was Mia Katrina Guile’s "Before the Boardwalk," and a new artist will be selected for 2026. The event includes a robust awards program—Best in Show, Virginia’s Finest, Director’s Award, Judge’s Choice, and category‑specific honors such as Top Artist Under 40 and Best Glass Art Sculpture—backed by a $30,000+ prize fund. An Artist Prize Fund, supported by donors, provides financial awards and an Artists’ Awards Party. The show also offers interactive art experiences in the adjacent Virginia MOCA Art Park, live performances, and a commemorative merchandise line. Volunteers and corporate sponsors help run the weekend, which serves both as a major sales venue for artists and a community cultural celebration.
