Big Island Rendezvous is an annual family-friendly festival celebrating the fur-trade era, early American crafts, and living history in Albert Lea, Minnesota. The 2026 event runs Education Days October 1 to 2 (schools) and the Family Weekend October 3 to 4 (public days) at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds, 1105 Bridge Avenue, Albert Lea. Visitors park at the fairgrounds (I-90 Exit 157) and ride a free shuttle bus to the festival site on the Big Island. The event features a Voyageur encampment, Native American tipi tours, the Scottish Clan Tartan, the New Ulm Battery, blacksmiths, woodworking, candle making, period wares, and authentic cuisine. Voted one of the Top 100 Events in North America by the American Bus Association.
