The University of Iowa Homecoming is an annual, week-long celebration in Iowa City drawing students, faculty, staff, future Hawkeyes and alumni from around the world. Homecoming 2026 runs 25–31 October. Traditions include the Homecoming parade (with more than 20,000 spectators), construction of the Corn Monument, the Pep Rally and Coronation, campus reunions, the Wave and the Hawks Run Home 5K in support of Stead Family Children's Hospital. The celebration has been a University of Iowa tradition for over 100 years. Events take place across the Iowa City campus, including Kinnick Stadium and the Iowa Memorial Union.
