Advice for visitors: Arrive early, wear comfortable shoes, bring a valid ID if you plan to drink, and buy tickets ahead of time to avoid lines. Triangle Oktoberfest is a two-day family event held on October 3-4, 2025. It is the 11th annual festival and it brings real Bavarian fun to the Koka Booth Amphitheatre. Expect live brass band music, many beer choices, traditional German food, and lots of games. The event is friendly for kids and adults. There is a special Kinder Platz with inflatables and face painting so children can play while adults enjoy the food and music.
At the festival you can hear the King Guys Oktoberfest Brass Band play all day. Try classic foods like sausages, pretzels, and other German treats. There are more than 65 beer varieties, including local seasonal choices. If you like contests and fun shows, watch or join the Stein Hoist Championships, the Masskrugstemmen (beer stein holding), hammerschlagen, and the Wiener Dog Races. There is also a Miss and Mr. Oktoberfest contest for the best dressed couples and a Lufthansa airfare raffle for a big prize. The event is hosted by local Rotary clubs to raise money for charity, so your ticket helps good causes.
Plan your visit by checking the festival schedule online for band times and contest start times. Bring cash and a card if you can, because some vendors may take only one or the other. Dress in layers for cool fall weather and consider wearing a fun Bavarian outfit if you want to join contests or contests for best dress. Keep an eye on children and set a meeting spot in case anyone gets separated. If someone in your group drinks alcohol, make sure another adult stays sober to drive safely or use a ride service home.
