We invite you to participate in the Tromsø Educational Film Festival (TREFF) 2024! This festival is not just about watching films but also serves as a conference where filmmakers, educators, and teachers in higher education can come together. Whether you're a seasoned filmmaker or a pedagogue exploring innovative teaching methods, this festival is a fantastic opportunity for you. Our goal is to inspire educators and filmmakers to harness the power of film in the learning process. Engaging with films can significantly enhance pedagogical practices and contribute to a more enriching educational experience for students.
The festival will take place from March 13th to March 15th, 2024, at various locations including UiT The Arctic University of Norway and Verdensteateret. During this time, you can expect exciting film screenings and presentations from both filmmakers and educators showcasing how film can enhance learning. You will also have the chance to try out innovative teaching methods in our showrooms, listen to inspiring keynote speakers, and exchange experiences with fellow attendees. Don't miss out on the chance to enjoy delicious meals provided throughout the festival, including a buffet at The Northern Lights Planetarium. The event will culminate in a festive award ceremony at Verdensteateret, celebrating excellence in educational film.
