Oktoberfest Ladysmith 2026
Québec’s long-running German festival returns October 2–4, 2026 in Ladysmith (Township of Thorne) in the Pontiac. Founded in 1985, it features traditional food, live music, a vendor marketplace, family activities, a parade, and the annual truck and tractor pull.
Venue
The festival is held on Municipality of Thorne grounds at 777 Route 303, Ladysmith (Thorne), Quebec. Parking is across from the site. Organizer mailing address: 794 Route 366, Ladysmith (Thorne), Quebec J0X 2A0.
On-site buildings include the Dining Hall and the Clarence Bretzlaff Building (CB Building / main hall).

- Friday, 2 October 2026: dining hall and canteen from about 5:00 pm; opening ceremonies 8:00 pm; live music into the night (Timber Line 9:00 pm–1:00 am at the Clarence Bretzlaff Building).
- Saturday, 3 October 2026: breakfast in the dining hall 8:30–11:30 am; horseshoes 9:30 am; children’s games 12:00–3:00 pm; truck and tractor pull 1:00 pm (weather permitting); music through the evening.
- Sunday, 4 October 2026: church service 10:00–11:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran; parade 11:30 am; Schuhplattler dancers and music 12:30–3:00 pm. Dining hall Sunday 12:00 pm–3:00 pm.
Bar/main hall ticket sales stop at 12:30 am; drinks stop at 1:00 am.

In person and cash at the gate: Friday CAD 15, Saturday CAD 20, Sunday CAD 15, weekend pass CAD 45. Children under 12 free. Weekend passes also sold online until Wednesday 30 September 11:59 pm (processing fee). Free rough camping, first come first served (spots may not be reserved before 23 September).
Food
Homemade German meals (sausages, meatballs, sauerkraut, pretzels, desserts) in the Dining Hall, plus the Clarence Bretzlaff Building canteen and a snack wagon. Breakfast Saturday and Sunday 8:30–11:30 am.
