Outerbike 2026
Outerbike is a consumer-focused mountain bike demo festival produced by Western Spirit Cycling. Riders test the latest mountain bikes, e-MTBs and cycling gear from manufacturer booths on real dirt trails rather than a parking-lot demo.
The 2026 edition — 16 years in Moab, the original MTB capital — runs 2–4 October 2026 at the Bar M trailhead, about 8 miles north of Moab on Highway 191. For 2026 the organizer is concentrating on Moab only.
2026 schedule
- Thursday 1 October — early registration at Slackline Moab, 16:00–18:00
- Friday 2 October — gates 09:00; shuttles to Slickrock 09:00 through lunch; lunch 12:00–14:00; happy hour 16:00–17:00
- Saturday 3 October — gates 09:00; shuttles to Navajo Rocks 09:00 through lunch; lunch 12:00–14:00; Can'd Aid kids bike build 14:00–16:00; happy hour 16:00–17:00
- Sunday 4 October — gates 09:00; shuttles to Mag Five 09:00 through lunch; lunch 12:00–14:00; event ends 16:00
Passes and what’s included
Choose a Full Demo, BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike) or Social pass. Every pass includes original Outerbike swag, three lunches, and Friday/Saturday happy hours. Full Demo and BYOB include shuttles to trailheads; Full Demo adds access to the demo fleet (online bike reservation in 2026). Social pass is venue and social only (no demos or shuttles). Registration is capped.
E-bike test trails in Moab have been expanded with BLM to include all shuttle destinations. Free on-site parking; free morning shuttle buses from downtown Moab; bike racks at the venue. Camping is not allowed at the venue. Beer garden is 21+ with ID. No drugs or alcohol inside the event except the official happy hour/beer garden.
Getting there
Drive 8 miles north of Moab on Hwy 191, turn right at the Bar M Chuckwagon, and follow signs to the BLM parking/trailhead and the Outerbike venue. Partner lodging includes Slackline Moab, SpringHill Suites Moab, and Wolfe's Hotel Moab (promo OUTERBIKE).
