Sharjah International Library Conference (SILC)

The 13th Sharjah International Library Conference (SILC) will be held November 7-9, 2026 in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The 3-day conference takes place in conjunction with the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), celebrating its 45th year as one of the premier collection development opportunities around the globe.

Audience & information

The conference is aimed at library and information professionals from public, academic, school and special libraries. All sessions are held in English and Arabic with simultaneous translation. It is organized by the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) in partnership with the American Library Association (ALA).
