About the Kia Health & Fitness Expo

The Kia Health & Fitness Expo is the official pre-race expo of the Detroit Free Press Marathon, held each fall in downtown Detroit. Admission is free and the expo is open to the public, welcoming runners, spectators, and fitness enthusiasts.

What to expect

Exhibitors showcase the latest 2026 marathon merchandise along with running footwear, apparel, nutrition, and training technology. The expo is also the central packet-pickup hub for race participants. All packet pickup areas are at the back of the Expo, where the main information booth handles last-minute questions.

  • Friday, October 16, 2026: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 17, 2026: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
