NCRA Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp 2027
The 2027 NCRA Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp, organised by the National Court Reporters Association, takes place March 14-16, 2027 at the Grand Hyatt Washington, 1000 H Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20001. The three-day intensive is designed to prepare court reporters, captioners and legal videographers to lead, influence and advocate with confidence for their profession. The programme combines intensive skills training on advocacy strategy in state legislatures and Congress, hands-on practice in realistic advocacy scenarios with networking, and a Capitol Hill experience where participants put their training to the test directly before elected representatives and their staff. Registration opened in October 2026 and must be completed by February 25, 2027; a downloadable registration form is also offered. Member registration is USD 375, second member from the same state USD 300, and non-member registration USD 475. The Linda Breech Memorial Advocacy Scholarship, run in partnership with NCRF, covers full registration for one eligible student; applications are due December 21, 2026. Cancellations are accepted until January 29, 2027, and requests for special accommodations should reach NCRA by January 23, 2027. The Boot Camp moves to a new venue for 2027 at the Grand Hyatt Washington, located in downtown Washington with direct Metro Center access; registered attendees receive a discounted room rate.
