IDEA's Annual Conference & Trade Show 2027
IDEA2027: Connecting for the Future - the 118th IDEA Annual Conference & Trade Show takes place at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, June 22-25, 2027. Hosted by the International District Energy Association (IDEA), founded in 1909, the annual conference is the flagship international gathering for district energy professionals, drawing nearly 1,000 attendees from city, campus and utility organisations worldwide.
The 2027 edition is held in North Carolina's capital, at the heart of the Research Triangle Park research corridor, home to world-class universities including North Carolina State University, Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The programme focuses on decarbonising district energy at scale while keeping energy affordable, reliable and resilient, with technical sessions on large-scale district energy systems, thermal energy networks, grid resilience, emerging technologies, financing and regulatory frameworks.
Attendees can take part in technical tours of campus and city district energy installations, browse the dynamic exhibit hall, and network with colleagues, researchers and solution providers.
