Allegan County Fair 2027
The Allegan County Fair, organized by the Allegan County Agricultural Society since 1852, is Michigan's most popular county fair and was named the most popular county fair in the state by USA Today. The 2027 edition of the Allegan County Fair runs September 10-18, 2027 at the Allegan County Fairgrounds, 150 Allegan County Fair Drive, Allegan, Michigan.
The fairgrounds cover approximately 115 acres and include a public campground, an indoor exhibit hall complex with more than 38,000 square feet under one roof, and the John Paul Historical Village, where more than a dozen historic buildings are relocated and preserved. Animals, crafts, foods, and antiques are judged daily, and Rocky Rooster, the fair's unofficial mascot, roams the grounds meeting visitors.
A multi-day programme of grandstand concerts, rodeos, and wheel shows runs alongside daily rides, livestock and open class competitions, and the Allegan Antique Market. Off-season programmes held on the fairgrounds include the Michigan Alpaca Fest, the Michigan Fiber Festival, the Allegan Antique Market, and an annual RV rally.
Gate admission for the 2026 edition was $10 for adults, $5 for youth in grades 1-12, and $5 for parking, with a nine-day pass including parking. Camping is offered for the full run of the fair or on a nightly basis, and wristbands covering unlimited rides are sold for single days or for the weekend. Etix is the only authorized online ticketing agent, and the fair box office is located at the fairgrounds.
