Maker Faire Trieste is the annual celebration of ingenuity held in Trieste, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy, organised by the Comune di Trieste together with the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), with financial support from Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia. The 13th edition was held on 9-10 May 2026 in Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia, the main square of Trieste, with free admission for the public, makers and exhibitors. Hundreds of makers and scientists presented robotics, 3D printing, drones, electronics, crafts and creative technology, alongside the Science Picnic village of the SciFabLab and the FantaMaker programme of science-fiction events staged in the surrounding city. The entrance is free for everybody. The next edition, Maker Faire Trieste and Science Picnic 2027, is confirmed for 8-9 May 2027 and is listed on the official ICTP scientific calendar.
