London Design Festival celebrates and promotes the city as a design capital on the global stage. Launched by Sir John Sorrell CBE and Ben Evans CBE in 2003, the Festival is an annual event that promotes London's creativity, drawing in thinkers, practitioners, retailers and educators.

The first Festival launched at Bloomberg on 25 March 2003. In 2019 the Festival welcomed a record-breaking 600,000 individual visitors from over 75 countries. As one of the world's leading design events, it has served as a blueprint for design weeks globally.
