NMRA National Convention 2027
The NMRA National Convention, themed "Puget Sound Express" (PSX), is the annual national convention of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA) and is held in Tacoma, Washington from Tuesday, August 10 through Sunday, August 15, 2027.
The convention is hosted at the Tacoma Convention Center, 1500 Commerce Street, Tacoma, WA 98402, with the official event date range listed as 9:00am to 10:00pm. Registration runs all day on August 10 and the convention program begins at 1pm on Tuesday, August 10, with clinics, panel discussions, operating sessions, model railroad layouts, prototype tours, contests and modular layout exhibits running through August 11-13. The opening keynote on Wednesday, August 11 features custom model railroad builder Lance Mindheim.
The National Train Show is held at the Tacoma Convention Center on August 14 and 15, with several hundred vendor and manufacturer booths, hands-on demonstrations and dozens of train layouts; admission is included with convention registration. Post-convention activities close out the Sunday program.
Registration and hotel arrangements are published on the official convention website, and the National Model Railroad Association asks that attendees refer to that site for updates, since future convention plans are subject to change.
