CEC Special Education Convention & Expo 2027
The CEC Special Education Convention & Expo is the premier professional development event for special educators, researchers, administrators, and related service providers. Each year thousands of participants from the United States and worldwide attend to learn, share, and connect through hundreds of sessions covering topics across special and gifted education.
The in-person program includes keynote presentations, the Yes I Can Awards, an opening reception, awards luncheons, the CEC Celebration, and an expo where attendees meet representatives from hundreds of companies showcasing products and services for learners with disabilities and gifts and talents. Attendees can earn continuing education unit (CEU) hours through convention programming.
The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), founded in 1922, is the professional association dedicated to improving educational outcomes for children and youth with disabilities and/or gifts and talents and supporting the professionals who serve them.
The next announced in-person edition runs March 10–13, 2027 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center (400 N High St, Columbus, OH 43215). Registration, hotel and travel, schedule, workshops, and exhibit and sponsorship information are published on the official convention site.
