International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC)
Founded in 2005, the International Petroleum Technology Conference is the flagship multidisciplinary technical event of the Eastern Hemisphere oil, gas and energy industry. Its programme and associated industry activities address the technology and business issues facing specialists and management across the whole petroleum value chain, with a large technical programme and a parallel exhibition.
2027 edition
IPTC 2027 takes place from 24 to 26 March 2027 in Bangkok, Thailand, at the Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld. The theme is "Balancing the Energy Future: Secure. Smarter. Together." - securing resilience across the value chain, using technology, digitalisation and AI to cut emissions and improve efficiency, and working across industries, governments and society on the energy transition.
Organisers
IPTC is uniquely organised by four professional societies: the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). It is governed by a board of eight representatives drawn from those four societies, and describes itself as the only fully integrated major joint event in the Middle East and Asia.
Programme and exhibition
The conference combines a technical programme for geoscientists and engineers with an exhibition, sponsor and exhibitor opportunities, development activities for students and young professionals, and a set of IPTC excellence awards covering projects, sustainability, distinguished achievement and young professional achievement.

Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld, 999/99 Rama I Road, Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand. The venue sits inside the CentralWorld complex and is served by the BTS Skytrain.
