The Fly Fishing Show is a premier touring exhibition dedicated to all aspects of fly fishing, featuring educational programs, destination travel, and interactive displays. Attendees can explore various exhibits and enter to win exclusive guided fishing trips worldwide.
Main Exhibits and Categories
- Destination Travel & Prizes: Extensive raffle prizes for luxury fishing trips to global destinations including the Amazon, Argentina, Seychelles, Iceland, Finland, Belize, Alaska, and Montana.
- Education & Classes: "Classes with the Experts" covering fly tying and casting (advance registration required). The FFI Learning Center offers free fly tying, knot tying, rigging, and casting instruction for all skill levels.
- Special Events: The International Fly Fishing Film Festival (IF4), Women’s NETworking Social/Showcase, and the Industry Theater featuring business-focused presentations.
- Historical & Artisan Displays: The Fly Fishing Treasures Display featuring antique tackle evaluations and an Orvis historical exhibit. The Gnomes Traveling Rod Show showcases the evolution of fly rods over 200 years. Bamboo rod building demonstrations are also featured.
- Live Art & Craftsmanship: Gyotaku (Japanese fish printing), live riverscape painting with fly rods, live fly line repair seminars by RestorLine, and live watch dial painting by Oak Oscar.
- Additional Features: Live podcasting from the show floor, a traveling brook trout display, and complimentary Trout Unlimited memberships for attendees.
