The South Florida Fair is Palm Beach County's oldest and largest annual event — a 17-day agricultural and community fair held each January at the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach. The 2027 edition runs 15-31 January 2027 under the theme "It's a Mythical South Florida Fair", bringing dragons, mermaids, unicorns and other legendary creatures to themed areas across the fairgrounds.

What's at the fair

  • Live entertainment — daily parades, concerts and shows on the grounds.
  • Agricultural & livestock exhibits — award-winning exhibits with 1,000+ participants from 30 Florida counties, plus interactive farming experiences.
  • Food vendors — corn dogs, funnel cakes, fresh lemonade, turkey legs, barbecue and creative deep-fried specialties.
  • Yesteryear Village — a living-history attraction showcasing Florida heritage.
  • Sensory-inclusive program — in partnership with KultureCity, with sensory bags and quiet rooms.

Practical notes

The fair opens weekends, Martin Luther King Day and holidays 10:00-22:00; weekdays 12:00-22:00. The 2027 edition is preceded by a Ride-A-Thon kick-off at 5:00 p.m. on 14 January. It is produced by the South Florida Fair & Palm Beach County Expositions, Inc., a non-profit that raises funds for educational and charitable purposes.
