Essen Motor Show 2026

The Essen Motor Show is Europe's leading annual event for tuning, motorsport and automotive passion, organised by Messe Essen GmbH at Messeplatz 1, 45131 Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The 2026 edition runs from 28 November to 6 December 2026, with a trade preview day on 27 November.

Format and scale

Around 500 exhibitors from 19 countries showcase the full spectrum of motoring, from performance and racing to tuning and lifestyle, modern classics, vintage cars and automotive legends. The show is organised into themed areas: Performance & Racing in Hall 3, Tuning & Lifestyle across Halls 5, 6 and 7, Motorsport in Hall 8, and Youngtimer & Oldtimer classics in Halls 1 and 2. A new Car Market has opened in Hall 1A, complemented by a Show Area and an accessories sales mile in the Galeria.

Highlights

The tuningXperience in Hall 5 presents more than 150 show cars and custom-built vehicles from participants in 15 countries, spanning widebody builds, JDM icons, classics and anything from 36 hp to 1,500 hp. The 2026 edition also marks the 100th anniversary of Route 66 with a special show in Hall 2, the 80th anniversary of Vespa, and 25 years of The Fast & The Furious with original movie cars in Hall 1. The GT Show, organised by Messe Essen, continues as a partner platform.

Audience

Over 200,000 visitors attended the 2025 edition over ten days, making the Essen Motor Show one of Europe's most visited events for performance, tuning and automotive lifestyle.
