FILO 2027 Conference

The FILO 2027 Conference takes place 4–5 May 2027 at Willow Creek Community Church (South Barrington Campus), Entrance D, 67 Algonquin Road, South Barrington, IL 60010. Registration is open for in-person attendance and a live stream.

FILO (First In, Last Out) is created for church technical artists, by church technical artists. At the conference, attendees gather with others who get it: the early arrivers, the problem-solvers, and the behind-the-scenes leaders making Sundays happen. Together they learn, laugh, worship, and grow through breakout sessions taught by leading experts and main sessions that speak to the heart of church technical artists.

The conference is a chance to step away from the booth, participate in worship instead of producing it, and be poured back into for the next ministry season. The South Barrington Campus of Willow Creek Community Church has been home to FILO since 2018.

The FILO Conference started in 2014 with a small group of church technical artists gathered by Todd Elliott, formerly of Willow Creek Church. Today it is part of the nonprofit 501(c)(3) FILO Community NFP, dedicated to equipping and encouraging local church technical artists.

Anyone involved in technology in a local church is encouraged to attend—audio, lighting, video or systems; staff or volunteer; beginner or expert. Worship pastors, music directors, lead pastors, creative directors, and anyone who works with technical artists are also welcome.
