Surf City Marathon is an award-winning, Boston-qualifying road race held along the Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach, California. The fast, flat, scenic course passes the famous Huntington Beach pier and offers four race distances: Marathon (26.2 mi), Half Marathon (13.1 mi), 5K and Beach Mile (1 mile along the sand). Runners register through the official event ticketing partner, with promotional pricing on the full race, half and shorter distances. The next edition takes place on February 7, 2027. Beyond the race itself, the event is known for its race-weekend expo, signature medal design and beachside finish atmosphere. The 2027 race medal and shirt design are announced closer to race day.
