Animethon is Canada's longest-running anime convention, a volunteer-run Japanese-animation festival held annually in Edmonton, Alberta. The 2027 edition takes place August 6-8, 2027 at the Edmonton Convention Centre. The weekend features AMV programming, fan hosted panels, a charity auction in support of the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation, an Asian music festival (Music Fes) with past performers such as ClariS and Myth & Roid, and attractions celebrating Asian popular arts and local communities. Animethon brings together fans to celebrate community, creativity and culture.
