Security Essen 2028
security essen is the international meeting place for the security industry. The trade fair brings together manufacturers and service providers showcasing their latest solutions in the fields of armoured vehicles, civil protection, civil defence, access control, video surveillance, perimeter security, fire protection and cybersecurity. The next edition is held from 19 to 22 September 2028 at Messe Essen, Messeplatz 1, 45131 Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The official site publishes the 2028 dates as a save-the-date calendar entry (DTSTART 19 September 2028, DTEND 22 September 2028) and lists opening hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Tuesday to Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. In 2026 security essen provided an important strategic impetus: for the first time, the Euro Defence Expo (EUDEX) took place concurrently at Messe Essen, adding an exhibition area dedicated to civil protection and civil defence and an expanded network for decision-makers from security and defence. The accompanying programme includes the DNS Conference, security experts forum, Protect and Prevent Forum, European Drone Conference, Blaulicht Forum, KRITIS-Forum and the Day of Training and Further Education.
