The 38th Biennial Western Coatings Symposium and Show (WCS) takes place 17–20 October 2027 at Paris Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada. Organisers describe it as the largest regional coatings show in North America.
The WCS is a regional conference and trade show serving primarily, but not exclusively, Western USA and Canada. It provides educational and networking opportunities for technical professionals involved in developing and manufacturing coatings, their employers, and related vendors. The programme includes a three-day technical programme, a two-day tabletop exhibition, and social and networking events.
Held every two years, the symposium is organised by the Los Angeles, Pacific Northwest, Golden Gate and Arizona Societies for Coatings Technology (LASCT, PNWSCT, GGSCT and ASCT). Proceeds fund scholarships and grants for polymer and coatings students, and educational grants to universities. An Academic Poster Competition invites university students to present research on coatings and related materials.
The Western Coatings Societies is a member of Coatings Societies International.
