COMNEXT is the successor to the Fiber Optics Expo (FOE), which for more than 20 years was a leading platform for advances in optical communication technology. Rebranded as COMNEXT, the exhibition has evolved into a comprehensive platform covering both wireless and optical communication technologies, offering opportunities for innovation and collaboration across the whole communications supply chain.
The show is structured across six specialised worlds: Photonics-Electronics Convergence World, Optical Communication World (FOE), High-Frequency Technology World, Networking Equipment & Wiring Work World, Private 5G World, and Other Communication Technologies. Product scope spans optical communication as well as wireless communication and 5G/6G technology.
Previous edition (2025) figures: 176 exhibitors and 15,278 visitors.
Visitor registration is required to attend and opens in October. COMNEXT is one of 109 exhibitions across 38 fields organised annually in Japan by RX Japan.
