About the show
Monster Jam is a live motorsport show rather than a trade fair: purpose-built monster trucks - 12-foot-tall, 10,000-pound machines on 66-inch tyres - compete in two disciplines back to back. Racing is a head-to-head bracket over a jump-filled track; Freestyle is a judged two-minute solo run scored on jumps, wheelies, donuts, backflips and saves. The tour has run since the early 1990s and now fields 90-plus trucks and more than 120 professional drivers, split across a Stadium Series and an Arena Series. Points accumulated at every stop feed into the season-ending World Finals, which in 2027 are staged in Indianapolis (1-3 July 2027).
The Biloxi round
Biloxi sits on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and the show takes over the Mississippi Coast Coliseum, the 11,500-seat arena and convention complex on Beach Boulevard. The 2027 dates are Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 March 2027 - the same mid-March slot the event has settled into, which places it in the run-in to the World Finals. Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster and start at $20.
Programme and audience
A typical Biloxi weekend runs a Saturday matinee and a Saturday evening show plus a Sunday afternoon show, with a Pit Party beforehand where spectators meet the drivers and walk the track. The audience is overwhelmingly families - the truck characters (Grave Digger, El Toro Loco, Megalodon and the rest) are marketed as much to children as to motorsport fans.
