Craft Lake City DIY Festival, Utah's biggest local art, music, technology and science festival, is held annually in the city. The DIY Fest this year was the biggest ever with 350 local artists, vintage vendors and foodies as well as youth entrepreneurs, performers & STEM exhibitor over three days at the Utah State Fairpark on the second weekend in August!

Joshua James is a Utah-based folk artist who began his career in the indie Utah music scene. He then became a national name in alternative folk and indierock. James' debut album The Sun is Always Brilliant (2008) was named the number one folk record of the year by iTunes. He then received praise from NPR and other publications, including Paste, Variety, as his tuneful, introspective songs captured the hearts of folk-rock enthusiasts while also attracting new listeners. In recent years, James has collaborated with successful folk artists like Timmy the Teeth, Nate Pyfer, and refined his indie-folk style on his 2021 release, Forever in Life For Now.
