Low Emission Vehicles Expo

Low Emission Vehicles Expo (also written "Low Emissions Vehicle Expo") is the low- and zero-carbon transport zone of the Low Carbon Agriculture Show (LCA), the UK's only event dedicated to low-carbon practices, clean energy and agri-technology for a sustainable farming future. It is organised by Agriconnect (LAMMA Ltd.), the UK agricultural information and events business.

Brand and record history

The zone began as one of the co-located expo areas of the Energy and Rural Business Show, which itself evolved from the Energy Now Expo launched in 2010. Press coverage of the March 2020 edition at the East of England Arena describes a "Low Emission Vehicles Expo" with an exhibition of electric quad bikes, all-terrain vehicles and low-carbon commercial vehicles, a vehicle test track and a dedicated Low Emission Vehicles Theatre. When the event was rebranded as the Low Carbon Agriculture Show for its March 2021 digital edition, the four focus areas were listed as Energy Now Expo, Environmental Business Expo, Low Emission Vehicles Expo and Farm Technology Expo. Agriconnect's June 2023 acquisition announcement again describes Low Carbon Agriculture as "four co-located events: Energy Now Expo, Environmental Business Expo, Farm Technology Expo, and Low Emissions Vehicle Expo".

The brand therefore represents a co-located sector of the parent show rather than a separately ticketed, separately scheduled exhibition. On the current official site it appears as one of four core sectors ("LOW EMISSIONS VEHICLES") alongside Environmental Business, Clean Energy and Farm Technology Innovation. The CMS title was kept as the stable English brand name to avoid slug churn; no separate dates, venue or website exist for this zone, and the parent show's official site is the authoritative source.

Confirmed 2027 edition

The official homepage masthead states "20 - 21 January 2027, NEC, Birmingham" and "Low Carbon Agriculture co-locates with LAMMA for 2027". Published opening times are Wednesday 20 January 2027, 08:00-18:00, and Thursday 21 January 2027, 08:00-16:30 (the first day's 08:00-18:00 window is recorded in the start/end time fields). Free tickets are available until 4 January 2027, after which online tickets are GBP 8 plus VAT, rising to GBP 12 plus VAT on the door; students, press and under-16s attend free.

Earlier editions: 5-6 March 2025 at NAEC Stoneleigh, Warwickshire; 14-15 January 2026 at the NEC, Birmingham (listed in the co-located shows section of the official site); a fully digital edition on 9-10 March 2021; and the 3-4 March 2020 Energy and Rural Business Show in Peterborough. The move from Stoneleigh to the NEC and the January slot reflect the co-location with LAMMA.

What the sector covers

The official site notes that transport is the largest source of UK greenhouse gas emissions (about 26% of the total in 2021) and is undergoing dramatic change. The Low Emissions Vehicles sector features the latest low- and zero-carbon vehicles and machinery plus non-fossil-fuel options including clean electricity, biomethane and hydrogen, together with the associated opportunities for farmers and landowners. Conference sessions cover low-emission vehicle fuels, autonomous farm machinery, charging-point and gas-refuelling infrastructure, and integration of low-carbon transport technologies on farms.

Because the zone shares the parent show's dates, venue and official website, it may overlap an existing Low Carbon Agriculture Show record.
