New York Sounds of Summer International Music Festival 2027

The New York Sounds of Summer International Music Festival is presented by World Projects for young musicians seeking high-quality performance experiences in New York City. The festival runs five days and is accepting applications for the 2027 edition (June 5–9, 2027).

Admission is by audition only and capped at four instrumental ensembles, each receiving 30 minutes of stage time at Carnegie Hall. Additional performance opportunities may include outdoor venues such as the Central Park Bandshell or Castle Clinton at Battery Park. Ensembles from high schools, colleges, and community programs are welcome; groups of varying abilities are encouraged to apply.

This is a non-adjudicated festival. Each participating ensemble receives a Festival Participation Plaque. Past faculty clinicians have included conductors and educators from Rider University, Montclair State University, Manhattan School of Music, and other institutions.
