The Greater Avon Chamber of Commerce presents the Hendricks County Rib Fest & BBQ, described on its official page as a long-running local tradition that began as an Avon community family event in 2005. The 2027 edition is scheduled for Saturday, June 26, 2027, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds, 1900 E. Main Street, Danville, Indiana.

Festival components listed on the chamber site include the IU Health West–sponsored Rib Run 5K (9:00 a.m.) and Riblet Kids Run (10:00 a.m.), business and craft vendor areas in the Hendricks Power Expo Hall plus North and South Halls (10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.), a Children's Entrepreneur Market, live entertainment, kids' games, hot air balloons, food vendors, and evening fireworks. The event draws visitors from Hendricks County and surrounding areas for ribs, BBQ, shopping, and family activities on the fairgrounds campus.
