Design Shanghai is Asia's leading international design event and one of the most prestigious design fairs in the world. The 14th edition returns to its original home, the Shanghai Exhibition Centre (1000 Middle Yan'an Road, Jing'an District, Shanghai), from 4 to 7 March 2027.
About the show
Organised by Clarion Events Ltd, Design Shanghai is a professional B2B trade exhibition built around four key sectors: Furniture & Lighting, Kitchen, Bathroom & Systems Design, New Materials & Applications, and Living & Lifestyle. It brings together leading international and Chinese design brands, galleries, architects, interior designers and buyers, and is accompanied by bespoke installations, a curated retail platform (Design Shanghai Shop) and one of the most comprehensive seminar programmes in Asia.
Programme highlights
The show runs alongside two major industry forums, the KOHLER - Design Shanghai Global Design Conference and the CMF Conference, together with the Workplace Conference, Presentation Zone and Innovation Workshop. Curated features include TALENTS, Made in JDZ, Beyond Craft, Collectible Design & Art, and Materials First.
Venue and history
The Shanghai Exhibition Centre, in Jing'an District, is where Design Shanghai made its debut in 2014. After six years away the show returned to this iconic venue for its 13th edition, held 19-22 March 2026, where more than 500 design brands from over 20 countries and regions were presented. The 2027 edition continues that renewed, more international and design-driven format.
