UiT The Arctic University of Norway Tromso Education Film Festival (TREFF) 2024 is open to all participants! Registration is now open for the festival in 2024. TREFF is a film festival and a conference that brings together film makers, pedagogues, and teachers from higher education to share ideas and inspire each other. How can film be used to promote learning?
Registration is now open for the 2024 festival! We want TREFF not only to be a festival but also a conference, where teachers, pedagogues, and film makers in higher education, can come together, exchange ideas, and be inspired.
The medium of film cannot fix or improve learning in a magical way, but it can provide a valuable tool for students to use in their learning process.
We hope that you will want to participate in the festival if you are a film maker, pedagogue, or teacher who works with film and education! The TREFF is for anyone who has never used film to teach. This festival is for those who are interested in student learning and good teaching practices. TREFF aims at inspiring more people to use film in their teaching.
Registration deadline: 5th March 2024.
Dates of the festival: 13th-15th March 2024.

Kine Maridatter will be one of this year's main speakers. She will discuss film in education, and her experiences with film as a teaching tool. She is an expert in learning design at UiT and will discuss how video can be used when designing learning.
