WHA's superior results in government relations and its impactful advocacy for its members are well-known. The WHA Advocacy Day aims to inform and motivate employees in the health care industry, trustees and volunteer groups on health-related issues. It also encourages grassroots advocacy.Participants can advocate for their hospital by participating in legislative visits to state legislatures. Each year, national speakers provide timely insights on state and federal issues affecting health care.

Highlights from the 2019 Advocacy Day held in Madison.
On March 20, 2024 more than 700 health care providers, hospital staff and trustees traveled from Wisconsin to the state capital to participate in Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA's) annual Advocacy Day.
Wisconsin hospitals displayed their quality improvement initiatives in the Capitol Rotunda.The Health Care Quality Showcase provided legislators, hospital leadership and staff, as well as the public, with an opportunity to interact with the dedicated staff who are behind enhanced patient care in Wisconsin hospitals.Attendees witnessed how these professionals are transforming health care every day.The featured projects covered topics like improving care for elderly adults, transitional Care Management, advancing Health Equity in Rural Communities, coordinating care, and many more.
