Many in the jazz community must have thought that Colorado's altitude had taken its toll. A small group of jazz enthusiasts decided to start a jazz festival. To the surprise of many, the Evergreen Jazz Festival is celebrating its twenty-first anniversary this July. The Evergreen Jazz Festival promises to be a great event that lives up to the description of a national journalist as "the best festival anywhere!"
Evergreen, a picturesque mountain town located 30 minutes southwest from Denver, provides an idyllic backdrop for the three-day event.
