Oldenburg, January 14, 2022 - Due to the rapid spread of the Omicron virus variant, it was decided to extend warning level III until February 2, 2022 in Lower Saxony. This is associated with massive restrictions in the events industry and an express ban on trade fairs. The CARAVAN FREIZEIT REISEN in Oldenburg cannot take place from 21st to 23rd as planned. January 2022.
“Although it is painful that the trade fair has to be canceled once again, we can very well understand the state government's decision. It is important to use all our strength to overcome this pandemic as quickly as possible, so that planning security can soon be achieved again for trade fairs, concerts and other large events,” said Dieter Meier, Managing Director of the Weser-Ems-Hallen. And Sonja Hobbie, Head of the Trade Fairs Division, adds: “The state government’s decision also corresponds to the wishes of many exhibitors who had expressed concern over the past few days and weeks about taking part in the trade fair during the Omicron wave. Now it’s time to look further ahead and focus all our energy on 2023 in order to create a successful CARAVAN FREIZEIT TRAVEL together with our exhibitors and partners.”.
