In the north of Germany, 'buddels is used to refer to a bottle. Restaurant Buddels can be found in Deichstrasse, the last vestige of old Hamburg. The majority of the buildings in this area date back to before the 19th Century. Buddel has a limited menu that is centered around local products. A lunch menu is also available. The different tarte flambee variations must be dry. The wine list is dominated by German wines. There are many small producers and less-known ones, as well as a nice selection natural wines.
Estancia Steaks, a family owned steakhouse in Hamburg's city centre, is located near the Town Hall. This venue is hidden away in an Afrika Haus, a beautiful and historic building.
