BUSAN, South Korea - Despite the more wealthy bids from Italy and Saudi Arabia, South Korea is determined to win the bid for the World Expo 2030 to be held in the coastal city Busan.

South Korea allocated $5.7 billion to the Expo, which is less than the $10.9 million provided by Italy and the $7.8 billion from Saudi Arabia. Busan competes against Riyadh, Rome and other cities. The winner of the event that runs from May to October 2020 will be chosen on November 28th during the general meeting of the Bureau International des Expositions in Paris.
