More than just a market From March to December the town centre is closed off to traffic on the first Sunday and transformed into an enormous market celebration.
There is an air of excitement, more like a festival every month, with street theatre, music, interactive activities, and delicious street food. The event has different sections, including a fleamarket, new designers and crafts, as well as vintage. Somerset Farmers' Markets organizes the centrally-located 24 pitch "farmers' market" section around the Market Cross. Just look for the green and striped canopies. The complete farmers' market, but with some hot food options to graze on all day.
